3D Asset Modelling

During an inspection, Skeye will give all clients the option to create a high-quality 3D model of their asset, on or offshore.

Using drones for 3D modelling means that every surface in the area of interest can be captured. As drones can fly at low altitudes, they can capture structures from every angle, therefore resulting in a very high resolution 3D model, even underneath overhanging  structures or bridges.

Creating a 3D point cloud is the first stage in the process for digitising your assets and opens up huge opportunities for clients attempting to better understand and manage their assets.

By working with Skeye the digital re-creation of almost any asset is possible. Using our state-of-the-art drones and sensors we can capture data from the most remote and difficult to reach regions.

Our specialist data engineers process the drone data into highly detailed 3D point clouds and mesh models from which we can extract a range of information. From highly accurate dimensional drawings to full BIM models the 3d point cloud is just the start of the delivery.

Skeye also use the 3D model to display and integrate inspection data. The model becomes the foundation of the inspection report and adds dimension and location to defects giving the client full overview of the severity and location of any defect. By putting the data through Skeye’s AI platform we can provide an even deeper understanding of an asset and identify defects faster and more efficiently.

Skeye provide this service to a huge range of clients who benefit from the depth of information gathered over multiple visits and use the data to make smarter and more timely decisions on maintenance and repairs. This reduces down time and pro-longs the life of key assets. Over extended periods of time the interpretation of the data leads to predictive maintenance regimes, saving client even more in running and maintenance costs.
